#can we talk about ryder’s attitude towards jake and marley for a minute? #the sheer fact that he’s respecting their relationship is honestly one of my favorite things about this insufferable triangle #because i may want ryder and marley together #but she obviously prefers jake to him and the best part is that he accepts it #like he ACTUALLY accepts it #and that isn’t something you see in pop culture these days#in the great majority of television shows you’ll see boys going to the ends of the earth to get what they want #and they don’t even realize they’re dealing with actual human beings with feelings and it’s beyond gross #and although it may have been inadvertently #glee has turned ryder into a character that clearly recognizes marley’s affections for jake #and #he #actually #backs #off #like the mere fact that he’s recognizing that the third party’s decision is important is baffling #and i’m so proud of him for taking the high road and trying not to interefere but i’m almost positive that glee did it on accident #and i’m sure they’ll have him pull some douchebaggery soon enough #but for now it’s lovely and i’m going to milk it as much as i possibly can
